Memories that
grow with you.

Write privately, reflect deeply. Memoir is an end-to-end encrypted journal for iOS and macOS — your memories stay on your devices, readable only by you.

Memoir on iPhone — encrypted lock screen with TipKit popover showing 'Your memories stay private'

Built for reflection,
not consumption.

Every decision in Memoir starts with one question: does this help you understand yourself better?

End-to-end encrypted

Your memories never leave your devices unencrypted. Even we can't read them.

Then & Now reflections

Surface what you wrote on this date last year. See concretely how much you've changed.

Encrypted voice memos

Capture a thought in 10 seconds — voice-recorded, transcribed on-device, never sent to a server.

On this day

See what you wrote on this date in past years, automatically.

Native, not bloated

Pure SwiftUI. No tracking, no ads, no cloud lock-in. Apple-native.

On-device photo search

OCR runs on-device — find a memory by what's written in a photo, never sending it anywhere.

Privacy is the product.

Not the business model, not a policy update, not a checkbox. The actual product.

On other apps On Memoir Why it matters
Storage Server-stored Device-only, E2E Your provider can't be subpoenaed for content it never had.
Access Linked to vendor account Face ID + iCloud Keychain No email or password to leak, phish, or breach.
Sync Cloud-replicated plaintext Encrypted blobs only Apple sees ciphertext — unreadable without your key, period.

Each memory is encrypted with AES-GCM-256 before it touches storage. The key is generated on first launch and stored in your iCloud Keychain — synced end-to-end across your Apple devices, accessible only with your biometrics. No server ever sees a plaintext entry.
